• Sesame Fig Paste for Yogurt

An easy and delicious addition to yogurt! Best eaten at lunch according to Ayurveda; dairy is considered “too heavy” to be eaten at breakfast for most constitutions. This is also great with toast!

-15 dried figs (fresh are fine, too, though you will need minimal water/soaking time)
-2 tablespoons of toasted sesame seeds (toast in a frying pan until light brown)
    -1 tsp cinnamon

    1. Soak the figs in warm water for 10-15 minutes to soften. If using fresh figs, they may not need to soak.

    2. Put all ingredients into a bowl and mash with a fork until a thick paste is formed. If using fresh figs, you may want to use a food processor instead.

Swirl several tablespoons of the fig paste into yogurt, top with granola and enjoy!
