• Split Pea Hummus

    Great for all doshas, especially Kapha!

    1 c. dried split peas

    3 c. water

    2 cloves garlic, minced

    1/3 c. olive oil

    Juice from 1 lemon

    1/4 tsp. cumin

    Salt to taste


    In a saucepan, add the peas and garlic to the water and boil for 40 minutes.  Remove from heat when the peas are tender, drain if necessary and let cool.  In a food processor, add pea mixture, olive oil, lemon, cumin and salt and blend until of smooth consistency.
